Key Performers for the Warriors
Stephen Curry: Led the team with 23 points, including a crucial 3-pointer with 3:45 remaining that helped seal the victory. He also reached a milestone by surpassing 26,000 career points during the game.
Jimmy Butler: Delivered an all-around performance with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and a team-high 9 assists (nearly a triple-double). His playmaking was pivotal in facilitating the Warriors’ fluid offense, which totaled 33 assists as a team.
Bench contributions were strong: De’Anthony Melton (16 points), Al Horford (14 points, including 4-for-4 from three after returning from injury), Brandin Podziemski (13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists), and others helped seven Warriors players reach double figures.

The Warriors started cold, missing their first six 3-point attempts, but exploded in the first quarter to lead 40-28, thanks in part to Horford’s hot shooting off the bench.
Bench scorer Brandon Williams added 26 points.
Klay Thompson, returning to face his former team after missing a prior game due to knee soreness, received a warm ovation from the Chase Center crowd. He and Curry shared an emotional pre-game embrace at midcourt.
The Mavericks were hampered by injuries: Center Anthony Davis exited in the second quarter with groin spasms and did not return.
Despite a late push from Dallas, the Warriors maintained control with strong ball movement and timely shots from Curry.
This win marked the Warriors’ third straight victory, boosting their playoff positioning in the Western Conference. Notably, Jimmy Butler—acquired by Golden State earlier in the season via a blockbuster trade from the Miami Heat—continues to integrate seamlessly alongside Curry and veterans like Draymond Green.
Thompson’s homecoming and Flagg’s rising star power, making it a memorable addition to the NBA’s Christmas slate. The Warriors next face Toronto, while the Mavericks head to Sacramento.
